5/15/2007 RUBY DIED TODAY AT A GEORGIA ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTER. THEY THOUGHT SHE MIGHT HAVE HAD PUPS, SHE WAS CONFUSED AND AFRAID. I WOULD BE TO I THINK, AND THIS PLACE HARDLY GIVES THEM ANYTIME TO AJUST BEFORE THERE TIME IS UP. I SEE THIS DAILY. YOUNG PRETTY BULLIES IN SHELTERS. RUBY AND MANY OTHERS DIE DAILY JUST BECAUSE THEY NEED SOME BASIC TRAINING. SOME PEOPLE ITS TIME AND OTHERS ITS COST. A PIT IS AT HIGH RISK FOR DEATH NOT TRAINED. I WILL TRY TO HELP PEOPLE SAVE THERE PIT FROM DEATH. BY FINDING A WAY TO FIND TRAINERS AND PAY COSTS COLLECTED BY THIS PAGE.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IM STARTING THIS PAGE TO RAISE MONEY FOR PITBULLS. PITS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS TO MOST OF US AND ARE MISS JUDGED MOST OF THE TIME. WE ALL KNOW ANY DOG CAN HAVE PROBLEMS THAT A LITTLE TRAINING AND TIME MAY MAKE A BETTER DOG.
ALL DOGS SHOULD GET TRAINING BUT THIS ISENT FOR ALL DOGS.THIS IS PIT BULL ONLY. I JUDGE BY A PICTURE. SENCE I THINK I KNOW WHAT ONE LOOKS LIKE.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IS CREATE A FUND FOR PIT TRAINING. HAVE PEOPLE TELL ME WHY THEY NEED THERE DOG TRAINED AND I WILL DONATE STRAIGHT TO A TRAINER. AROUND 100.00. IM JUST GETTING THIS STARTED AND WILL GET MANY MORE IDEA'S BUT I WONT BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING WITH OUT DONATIONS.
I WILL HAVE FULL REPORT ON WHO EVER WE DECIDE TO GIVE FUNDS TO. I WILL BE ASKING PEOPLE TO HELP WITH DECIDING IF I HAVE A FEW TO CHOOSE FROM.
I WILL COME UP WITH SOME RULES AND ADD SOME FRIENDS BEFORE I START DOING ANYTHING. ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT!
MEET SPENCE~Will be taking a 6-8 week training class here in NH. With Julia at www.fortunatek9.com He will learn basic to advanced one on one with foster mom and trainer. Spence loves to learn! He's a good boy with humans but has started to show a problem with other dogs. I think this will help him and other fosters he lives with and move on to a forever home.
Spence is 8-9 months old and in the last few weeks has grown from a puppy to a teen ager.(You know how they can be?)
He has gotton along with everyone up until this last week when he relized he's not small anymore.
Spence has always been smart and loves to learn but as we all know the trainers teach the owners more then dogs will learn. This can be passed on to other fosters in the future ..If you can help this sweet pitty boy by helping we will make sure you see great end results.
Spence is in foster, a rescued pup for Pits and Rotts for live rescue. Thanks!
WASHINGTON, DC, July 27, 2007 (ENS) - U.S. Democratic Senators John Kerry of Massachusetts and Barbara Boxer of California have proposed an amendment to the Animal Welfare Act that could lead to the eradication of dogfighting in the United States.
"Dogfighting is simply barbaric and inhumane, and it is unacceptable that this cruel so-called 'sport' still exists," Kerry said Thursday.
"There is no place for dogfighting in our civilized society, and we must outlaw it. It is time for us to address this issue with the seriousness it deserves.
Dogfighting recently came to public notice after Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was indicted last week on dogfighting-related charges.
A federal grand jury in Richmond, Virginia July 17 indicted Vick and three other men on charges related to their alleged operation of a dogfighting ring based at a property Vick owns in southeastern Virginia.
Vick was charged with competitive dogfighting and conducting the venture across state lines.
Vick told the "Atlanta Journal-Constitution" newspaper that he was not aware of dogfighting activities on the property, saying he rarely visited it.
The Kerry-Boxer bill would amend the Animal Welfare Act and upgrade existing federal dogfighting laws by: " Eliminating the existing requirement for prosecutors and agents to prove that one of the dogs crossed state lines to attend the fight. " Making it a federal offense to be a spectator at a dogfight. " Making it a crime to buy, sell, transport or possess fighting dogs, eliminating the lucrative aspect of dogfighting. " Increasing the maximum penalty for dogfighting from a three-year prison sentence to a five-year prison sentence.
Marie Belew Wheatley, president and CEO of American Humane Association says there is a link between violence to animals and violence to people. "
Hello! Sorry I haven't had much time to bark at everyone ! I've been adjusting with my new big bro Bolo! He's a handsome blue fawn! Mommy adopted him from a rescue in St. Louis, MIssouri. I just wanted to introduce you! I'm gonna share myspace with him! Good sis huh? He's alright! It's nice having someone here to play with. I gave him hell the first few days he stepped into my home. He knows what's up and it's all good now! He's a pretty good ole boy, I guess I'll let him stay around! Bark at us sometime! Love Kali Elizabeth and Bolo Blue Boy.
