While it’s no secret music and fashion have gone hand in hand, one must
look with a discriminating eye at the differences between clothing inspired straight from the
vibrant culture of underground movements and the mainstream’s attempts to mimic this kind of authenticity.
In 2003, three longtime friends, Mike, LD, and Warren, were thinking
about putting together a business that not only reflected their camaraderie, but also their
passion for music and the lifestyle that runs in synchronicity with it. These New York natives decided to start a
clothing line that represents both their stylistic and artistic interests and, like a mirror, would reflect what
was happening within the scene today.
What they came up with was Pitchfork New York Hardwear– one of the
fastest growing clothing lines affiliated with underground culture.
As 2009 shifts into high gear, Pitchfork has become one of the most
sought after brands of streetwear to grace store shelves in quite some time. Underground music fans
with a penchant for fashion have taken notice of Pitchfork’s clothing line ever since it began its
operation only a few short years ago.
According to Mike, “We wanted to come out with a product that people
from the music scene and our lives could relate to. We create styles that we would wear
ourselves and I think that says something about the validity of our company.”
While Pitchfork’s primary goals have remained the same, the company
takes pride in its steady growth and constant refinement, which have helped turn heads and
improve sales on a continual basis.
“Our main goal is to grow—we have no limitations.”
As Pitchfork continues to evolve, look for the company to remain firmly
entrenched in the roots of its inspiration in the first place: underground music—a sure sign that
these trend setters are focused on authenticity.
Pitchfork was started with $300 and is now recognized worldwide. From
Hip Hop thugs to Metalheads to Punks, there is gear for everyone. Look for the newest

Make Do And Mend are playing Wednesday night in Brooklyn at The Glass Door - 98 Monroe St (I think that's the address). They're on tour with Shook Ones and We Are The Union.
You should go check the show out!
Get well versed in their songs first though...they're the JAM!
£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
Hugs from Brazil, Claudio David
