About me:
Rachel A. Marks (a.k.a. "Pixydust" to her writer and artist friends) is a mom to four perfect kids. She loves to ride dirt-bikes with her family and owns a quilting art business called "Pixy's Guarden", designing bags and other fun, crazy accoutrement's. Being a native Southern Californian she loves the beach and tried surfing, but getting pregnant a bunch of times in a row kind of got in the way of that. So, she just lets her husband ride the waves as she sits and reads her book.
In her spare time her favorite thing to do is hide in her room with her lap-top and sketch book, plugged into Linkin Park or Red, creating new worlds through words and images. A few of her creations have been published. Some paintings and a story here and there. She has three columns, which she contributes to sporatically. She had the privilage of helping with the launch of the Literary Mag Haruah, where she was managing editor for a year. Now she's just helping out as a slush reader there and getting ready for the launch of Double-Edged Publishing's new venture--stay tuned for the updates. She's also working to publish her first novel. If she could only find time to finish her latest WIP.
"Sólo existe el amor. Las otras cosas nobles apenas sirven para dignificarlo....Algunos hombres jamás lo encuentran. Para otros es apenas una estrella fugaz que ilumina un año, un mes, una semana o un día en sus vidas. Pero ese destello efímero da significado a la existencia toda. Bienaventurado el que puede sentir en su carne y en su espíritu el fuego de esa chispa. "
