Sounds Like
Me. I have played other peoples' music most of my life, so I have chops that sound like Clapton, or Hendrix, or Elton. But, I do sound like myself in the end.
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
I have been playing music professionally throughout the northwest U. S. for 27 years. From 1980 until 1992, I was half of the musical group "Destiny Duo". April and I were musically popular throughout North Idaho and Eastern Washington. These days, I am a one-man-band. I program my background instruments MYSELF on a Korg Triton Studio keyboard, and I sing and play guitar and piano live. I mostly do classic rock and oldies cover tunes, and a few originals. I have been a featured entertainer for the last eight years at the Coeur d'Alene Casino's Nighthawk Lounge. I played from 2000-2007 at Templin's Red Lion Hotel on the Spokane River at Post Falls, Idaho. I also play at One Shot Charlie's here in Harrison (where I live). As well, I play many other places, and for weddings, parties, and outdoor events in the Inland Empire.
I have made two recordings. The Destiny Duo recorded "Midnight Fever" in 1989, with producer Dan Humann. Dan and I got together again in 1996 and recorded my CD, entitled "This Is The One", which is featured here on my website. Dan has engineered with, among others, Alan Holdsworth and Stanley Clarke, in L. A. in the 80's and 90's. He and I went to high school at SMHS together. I have played piano since I was 5, and I do so totally by ear. I cannot read music. But, I CAN play it!
I live in Harrison, Idaho, which is in the north, or the 'panhandle' of the state.
I moved here from St. Maries (also in the Idaho panhandle) in 1992. I have two sons, Jimmy, 25, and Freddie, 18. They both sing and perform with me, and on their own.
Jimmy has his own band, LOC (Lack Of Change), in Coeur d'Alene. Jimmy's band is also on my space at myspace.com/lackofchange. Freddie was Salutorian at KHS with in 2008. He is currently attending The College Of Idaho in Caldwell. Freddie, Jimmy & I also do nostalgia shows occasionally (see shcedule) where we dress up, and with tongue-in-cheek, imitate rock artists from the past. Other musicians from our region also have performed at these shows. The shows are a local favorite. You can check out my schedule by looking under the DETAILS of my show listings on this website. They are listed in cronological order through the end of the year.
