Band Members	Since 1995, the Pandit Jasraj School of music has had the honour of presenting some of the finest Indian artists of our time in concert, including: Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj, Ustad Allarakha Khan, Pt.Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Sultan Khan, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri, Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Shahid Parvez, Kala Ramnath, Ramesh Misra, Shubhendra Rao, Rakesh Chaurasia, Rahul Sharma, Sanjeev Abhyankar, Shweta Jhaveri, Bhavani Shankar, Rimpa Shiva, Rattan Mohan Sharma, Tripti Mukherjee, Hemang Mehta, Masters of Percussion (Zakir Hussain, Vikku Vinayakram, Fazal Qureshi, Selva Ganesha, Taufiq Qureshi and many others), the Rhythm Experience, Gulwadi Quartet, Shyama Viji Prakash Troupe, Sutapa Talukdar, Viji Prakash Bhagavad Gita Ballet, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, as well as many young local artists. About PANDIT JASRAJ SCHOOL OF MUSIC

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL PAGE FOR THE CANADIAN CHAPTER OF THE PANDIT JASRAJ SCHOOL OF MUSIC.

The Pandit Jasraj School of Music was incorporated as a charitable society in 1994, to recognize the great maestro's contribution & commitment to the classical music scene in Vancouver.

School Objectives:

* to deepen awareness of culture & heritage through music
* to provide ongoing instruction to students at all levels
* to present artistes of the highest caliber for workshops & seminars
* to encourage youth to participate & learn music through a specially designed curriculum
* to train music teachers
* to provide a platform for upcoming artistes by hosting concerts
* to work with mainstream arts organizations for greater exposure to classical music

Introductory and beginner classes commence on March 12, 2008 and continue every wednesday until June 11th.

Intermediate classes resume April 2, 2008 and continue through June 11th.
