Sometimes Stella and Sean help me out. | | Influences | Harry Belafonte (the first single I got as a little boy was "Banana Boat"), Phil Spector (for all the American Top 40 stuff that I listened to in my early school years), Beatles (my musical enlightenment at the age of 12), Big Bill Broonzy (whom I saw on TV and who introduced me to the Blues), Jimi Hendrix (who jumped out of the speakers and played in my room), Steve Hillage (electronic hippy wizard), Pink Floyd (acid meets highly evolved musical craft), Kraftwerk (the German electronic researchers meet pop music) ... Aldous Huxley, Timothy Leary, Robert Anton Wilson (the three most influential psychedelic writers), Robert de Ropp (psychedelics meet spirituality) ... Paramahansa Yogananda (the gret Indian Guru who came to America to give us Kriya Yoga and much much more, check out his heavily commented edition of the Bhagavad Gita), Mahatma Gandhi (who showed the world how much can be achieved without violence) | | Sounds Like | Hard to say.
