P.J. Whelihan's was founded in 1983 by Robert Platzer. He has since grow the P.J's family to now owning 8 other restuarants; 2 in PA and 6 in New Jersey. P.J. Whelihan's can be described as a home-town bar and restaurant that is cozy for the family atmosphere and young at night with our livly entertainment.
We are proud to say that alot of the items still found today on our menu are made from P.J's orginial recipes.
You can always find on FRIDAY'S, we have our FAMOUS 100% Crabmeat Cheesesteak drizzled in brown butter along with our home-made New England Clam Chowder. We also have featured our signature P.J. Whelihan's Copper Lager that comes in a 22oz logoed glass for $4.00, EVERYDAY, ALL DAY!!!
We have been awarded consectivly 5 years in a row by the Morning Call for Reader's Choice Award for BEST WINGS of Lehigh Valley. In addition, we were awarded 2007 Best Neighborhood Bar of Lehigh Valley! You can also find that we have been selected to be the OFFICIAL WINGS for the 2008 Wing Bowl on February 1st.
