PJ finds bios either make him sound cooler than he is, or alternatively; in trying to achieve exactly that end, far less cool than he'd like people to imagine him.
That said...
In late 2006 artist PJ Wolf released his debut album Storms, Dreams and Flying Machines. This eclectic collection of songs was recorded at PJ's home in the northern suburbs of Canberra. What began as a small acoustic production quickly spiralled out of control into a multi-layered, diversely textured, kaleidoscopic, waking-dream of a record.
A gifted songwriter, producer and vocalist, PJ's accessible style quickly garnered him a loyal fanbase. He spent much of 2007 touring and performing live and in early 2008 set about producing his 2nd album "Arcadia Street". Recorded between Canberra and Sydney, Arcadia Street is a collection of pop songs about death. A release date for the record hasn't been set yet but it's expected to be launched late in 2009.
PJ currently lives with his wife Anna in a 1950's suburban Utopia on the outskirts of sydney.
I found this photo of my Pa totally ripping on the drums. He was way into Tower of Power which may make him the hippest grandparent of all time...
Thougth you'd want to know about a gig at ANU on Saturday 22nd August. The lineup is: ORIPHUS, ENTROPY WITHIN, UNHOLY VENDETTA and CHUD. THis will be an awesome gig!
Even if the day is freezing; a few drinks and some of our music and you will be warm and fuzzy all over! Hope you can make it.
BTW We are still being held prisoner by the dept of health - please send diverting dialogue or interesting music. Also I think one should always have a favourite ad man in case one is ever in need of an ad.
Thanks Peter. Its not much, but its a start i guess, hopefully i can build and grow from here. need to work on my instrumentation, and hopefully get a home recording set up some day...one day...
