MICHAEL BUCHER is a Cherokee singer-songwriter who was taught from the beginning of his memory the stories, language and legends of his people. His songs are intended to teach, heal and bring an awareness to everyone who hears them. He sings about topics that are important to him and others in Indian Country. From the desecration of sacred sites, to Cherokee legends, to the sometimes seemingly Invisible Indian, there's a passionate quality throughout. With strong vocals and heartfelt lyrics, his music is a blend of acoustic guitar, native and a contemporary drum, flute, shakers, rattles, bass and electric guitars, and cuts a swath through native folk, blues and rock.
Bucher is twice nominated at the Native American Music Awards for “Best Debut Artist” and “Best Folk” (2007), “Best Short Form Music Video” for DIRTY WATER (2008), Indian Summer Music Awards double nominee for “Best Folk” and “Best Pop”, and 2008 Native E Music Awards winner for “Best Political Song” from his 2006 CD release, SEVEN.
SEVEN was produced by Peter Phippen and, recorded and mixed at the Sound Garage, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
In 2007, Michael contributed his track “Dirty Water” to a new music video as a tribute to Bear Butte Mountain, South Dakota. The music video was produced in association with NAMA nominated video producers, PK Productions, LLC of South Dakota and musicseenPROductions of New York in August 2007. The song was used to raise awareness for Bear Butte Mountain being threatened by further development of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The music video was released in late 2007 and was nominated for a 2008 NAMA for “Best Short Form Music Video.”
Michael's music tracks "Don't About Forget Me" and "Sacred Ground" will be featured in the new documentary on Bear Butte Mountain, SD titled, ON SACRED GROUND produced by Aegis Films.
“Don’t Forget About Me” Michael’s second music video, is currently in post-production. The production was filmed on-location in western South Dakota at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary and Pine Ridge Reservation. Filmed and directed by 2007 and 2008 NAMA nominated video director, Christopher Crosby and produced in association with Karla LaRive, PK Productions, LLC, the music video deals with the protection of Native burial grounds, Native grave sites and sacred sites. “Don’t Forget About Me” was also chosen for a compilation CD for the Sacred Sites Run Organization and all proceeds have been donated to the organization’s causes.
Michael has performed in front of sold-out audiences at the Native American Music Awards at the Seneca Niagara Casino/Hotel, New York; Indian Summer Music Awards in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Pow-Wow Cruise; Longest Walk Concert, Washington, DC and the Native E Music Awards in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has shared the stage with international and national performers including; Joanne Shenandoah, Bill Miller, Keith Secola, Garnett Rodgers, John Smith, Tonemah, Pipestone Singers and many others. Michael was a featured performer at the American Indian Society of D.C. Inaugural Event in January 2009 and has recently appeared on-stage with Wind Spirit Drum at the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque, NM.
National syndicated radio programs airplay include “Earthsongs”, “Native American Calling”, “Undercurrents”, “Rezervations with Dawn Karima”, “NAMAPAHH First Peoples Radio with Robin Carneen” and has airplay on satellite and Internet radio stations including; “Hand of My Grandfather”, “AIROS” and “In the Spotlight at “NativeRadio.Com.”

The production was shot in HD April 2009 in Magdelena, New Mexico by Native American Music Awards twice nominated "short form music video," Director/Editor, Christopher Crosby of musicseenPROductions and Produced in association with PK Productions LLC (Hot Springs, SD).
The 16 minute music video features two songs; Trail of Tears, an acapella studio recording by Windwalker from Lenape Spirits and, a live traditional drum performance of Wind Sky.
The music video features performances by Windwalker and Spirit Buffalo, Anagqus, Spirit Bear, Montana Star Dancer, KR LaRive, Christopher Crosby, re-enactor cast and production crew.

Wind Spirit Drum is a husband and wife duo who share their Eastern Woodland Native American culture and music through their flute and drum performance art. Windwalker, of Lenape, Mic-Mac and Cherokee decent, is the groups flutist and singer. Spirit Buffalo, of Mic-Mac and Cherokee heritage, is the groups resolute drummer. The couples daughter,Anagqus, dances traditional Cherokee dances to her parents music.
They perform traditional songs and stories in their language and English. Their captivating performances have entertained audiences from Maine to Florida as they performed on the Pow Wow circuit for six years.
The group has appeared on-stage with Cherokee singer/songwriter Michael Bucher at the 2009 Gathering of Nations | Stage 49 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was recently nominated for their CD titled, Lenape Spirits for "Best Traditional Vocals" at the 2009 Indian Summer Music Awards (Milwaukee, WI) and in five categories at the 11th Annual Native American Music Awards (Niagara Falls, NY).

SHADOWYZE (pronounced shadow-wise) Hip Hop Artist & Activist is a 2001 Grammy Nominated Native American Hip Hop/Rap Artist who comes from a background of Muscogee Creek, Cherokee, Scots-Irish and Swedish heritage. His lyrics are woven within a fabric of insight, life's experiences and social awareness. He received a Master and Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from the University of West Florida.
Shadowyze was born in San Antonio, Texas as Alvin Shawn Enfinger and relocated with his family to Pensacola, Fla. at the age of eight. In 1989, Shadowyze launched his hip-hop career when his group, Posse In Effect, released the official theme song "Knock em out the Ring Roy" recorded for then Olympic boxing Silver Medalist Roy Jones Jr. which received strong support on regional radio as well as NBC Sportsworld.
SOUTH DAKOTA'S PINE RIDGE RESERVATION sets the backdrop for Native American Hip Hop Artist, Shadowyze's new music video, BUMPY ROADS.
Written and performed by Shadowyze, this re-mix of the sultry smooth tracks features the vocal performances of Native blues singer Shea and Hip Hop Artist, Cherokee Kid.
The music video was produced by Karla LaRive, PK Productions, LLC in association with Christopher Crosby of musicseenPROductions.

PK Productions, LLC, an indigenous music management and media company was founded in the Black Hills of South Dakota in September 2006.
LaRive brings her entertainment management background in Broadway Theatre, Special Events and Concert Promotion to PK Productions. Her career includes working in New York City for Manhattan Punch Line Theatre (Off-Broadway) as a production manager, and Theatre Now, Inc, a (Broadway) theatre general management firm. As Co-Producer with Nederlander Companies (LA), she assisted in presenting many Broadway productions in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Lake Tahoe theatrical markets and, touring Broadway companies.
She has been Creative Director for Studio West Management since 2004. SWM offers production support, locations scout services, photography, casting and talent representation for feature film, television, documentary and music projects.
Studio West Management is responsible for bringing the following film and video projects to western South Dakota; “Into the Wild” Paramount/Vantage Films (Sean Pean Director/Screenwriter), “Investigating History | Who Killed Crazy Horse” Bill Kurtis Productions for History Channel; “Cowboys | Wild Mustangs” BEI, Productions for Outdoor Channel; and “Comanche Warrior” Digital Ranch Productions for History Channel, NHK TV for Japan Public Broadcasting, National Geographic's "Before 1492" for Gruppe 5 Film / Cologne, Germany, and many more.
As Media Relations Director for the Black Hill Wild Horse Sanctuary, LaRive staged the Ford Motor Company website launch at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary for “Save the Mustangs” campaign in conjunction with Take Pride America, Bureau of Land Management, BHWHS Founder, Dayton O. Hyde and Actress/Animal Advocate, Stephanie Powers.
In 2006 the company launched it’s first music project with Native American Hip Hop/Rap Artist/Activist, Shadowyze.producing his 2006 CD release “BOOMBOOM | BUMPYROADS | LILMAMA - Club Remix.

“Bumpy Roads” was nominated for “Best Short Form Music Video” at the 9th Annual Native American Music Awards in 2007.
In 2007 she co-produced her second music video with musicseenPROductions for Michael Bucher “Dirty Water, A tribute to Bear Butte Mountain, South Dakota” Dirty Water was nominated for “Best Short Form Music Video” at the 10th Annual Native American Music Awards in New York in 2008.
She has recently produced in association with musicseenPROductions; Michael Bucher’s “Don’t Forget About Me" and "Sacred Ground, Live at the Gathering of Nations.”
Bucher's music videos deal with the protection of Native burial grounds, Native grave sites and sacred sites. Shot partially on location at the petrogylph site at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary, Badlands National Park and Wounded Knee Memorial, Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota, Albuquerque and Taos, New Mexico.

Ms. LaRive is an Associate Member of the Washington, DC chapter of The Recording Academy of Arts & Science (Grammys) and Advisory Member of the Native American Music Awards (Nammys), and Past President (2006), Hot Springs Area Chamber of Commerce.
CHRISTOPHER CROSBY is the Media and Video Director for musicseenPROductions which was founded in 2000 with the concept of building leverage for the artists by producing music videos and promotional materials.
With an education in music business management from the Art Institute of Atlanta, and music theory from the Guitar Institute of Technology and a background in video production and media development; Chris began his career working as a freelance camera operator, audio technician and editor for Artisan PictureWorks. After shooting the opening highlights for the House of Blues during the 1996 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES; Chris interviewed several witnesses for Univision after the Olympic bombings.
Employed with Artisan PictureWorks, he assisted in many production companies including; CBS, NBC, ESPN, CNN, and MTV. As producer and media development director for 2High Studios, he developed and built with his partners, a (40) room rehearsal facility in Atlanta and specialized in producing local music videos and web design.

Co-Founder has a background in film as an actress and associate producer for Moonseed Productions in Los Angeles and India. As a classically trained musician she went to the Stephens College Conservatory in Columbia Missouri and Juilliard School of Music in New York City.
Her background ranges from modern jazz with Pacific Jazz Records in Los Angeles, to being the West Coast liaison and production coordinator for Ravi Shankar. Her duties included public relations, publicity tours, seminars, concerts, TV and radio appearances, and films: She was production assistant on "Raga", produced by Ravi Shankar and assisted coordination of musicians for the film "Charly".
