Paul Fowler is an active concert composer, improviser, producer, and vocalist. His musical life has lead him across many genres, collaborating with artists from diverse walks of life in multiple styles of art-making. Recent projects include a work for percussion ensemble and video playback based on Charlie Chaplin’s shorts for Taiwan’s Ju Percussion Group, an orchestral commission for the New York Youth Symphony, associate production of In The Blood, the recent album from Native American artist and Grammy winner, Robert Mirabal, and collaborations with Paul Haas and Sympho, using the computer as an improvisational instrument in conjunction with orchestra. His compositions have been heard in Japan’s Suntory Hall, the National Concert Hall of Taiwan, the Belgium International Marimba Festival, the Borealis Festival of Norway, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall. He has degrees in voice, composition and theater from Ithaca College and a masters in composition from the University of Michigan. www.paulfowler.net
