Plague is a thrash metal band based out of San Antonio, Texas. Started by three friends in High School, Rocky, Roger, and Isaac (former guitarist). Plague has been through many obstacles that have proven time and time again to not stop Plague. Even through the numerous line up changes, Plague has been and will always be a band that will never quit.
With a strong cast of members, creativity has been able to flow with fluidity, each member bringing their own influences to the group, the music is more diversified than before. Influences ranging from Megadeath, Death, Dream Theater, Slayer, Metallica, Cannibal Corpse, and Tool are just some to name a few, the songs have a chance to be stronger. Plague has even been compared to Exodus, Death, Slayer, and even Pantera.
Since its inception, Plague has had the honor of sharing the stage with Cattle Decapitation, The Autumn Offering, Cryptopsy, Brick Bath, Bleed the Sky, Silent Civilian, Vader, Necrophagist, Arsis, Speed Kill Hate, Katsumoto, The Ghost Inside, Graveworm, and Kataklysm. Plague has also competed in a Battle of The Bands, in San Antonio, Texas, where they beat more than 100 bands for a $1,000 grand prize and bragging rights. Plague has also competed in a Battle Of The Bands in Victoria, Texas, where in spite of being an out of town band with no local support, Plague still came out the winner. The San Antonio, Texas Battle Of The Bands was judged on crowd participation whereas in Victoria, Texas the competition was judged by non-biased judges.
What does the future hold for Plague? Currently, Plague is shopping for a CD replication company to press The Epidemic, Plagues first album. The band is also shopping to get signed with label. A new shirt design is also in progress.
