pLan 9 comprises Well Ill Will and the Aberystwyth Sidewinder himself, Mr Roy D'Cour. They met through their friend DJ Dellamorte of Codex Machine fame, who knew Roy from their days conducting guerilla raids against the English supply lines into Wales. They were also instrumental in introducing Crunchy Nut Cornflakes to North Wales, handing over the spoils of their raids to local dignitaries. The local dignitaries were so impressed with this taste revolution they arranged for the necesasry papers and shots so that the two young men could go to London and seek the greater glory of Aberystwyth.
Mr Will hails from Southport - a Victorian shithole on the north west coast, that finds itself inexplicably popular with footballers and the bourgeousie of the north west. On finishing university, he found that everybody he knew in Southport, including his family, had left, so he went to seek his fortune* in London. He took up a junior position with a telecoms giant, rapidly rising to dizzying administrative heights. Along the way he ran into Mr Dellamorte, also plying his trade an underutilised office monkey. They got to know each through cigarette breaks and nights at Fabric, and through this Will and Roy came together to remake the world of radio in their own fashion. This epochal conversation was recorded as follows:
Roy: "Do you fancy doing a radio show? I know someone in Aber who does internet radio and they're looking for people to do shows"
Will: "Yeah - that sounds cool"
Thus our show was born. A mere two weeks after starting we came up with our name, as a reference to the distinctly shambolic nature of the entertainment we provide, and since then we have gone from strength to strength. We currently assault the eardums of literally twenty people a week (not including the hosts), and hope that this will increase by at least another ten over the next year. The past was exciting, but the future is exhilirating.
*or at least an income that would get him a mortgage
