Planet Boelex is electronic music, coming from up north, Finland.
The pieces are put together by me, self-taught bedroom musician.
I have released few hours worth of freely downloadable,
Creative Commons licensed music on netlabels since
January 2005. How could one define the music? The combination of
atmospheric melodies, accompanied by floaty pads and some amount
of mildly glitchy beats. I try to include some degree of emotion to the
harmonies, sometimes it is succesful, and other times not. Hear for yourself.
Some people have been asking me, whether I have,
or am I going to put out music on CD. No, that has not been
planned in the near future. Why? Well, there is a fundamental
difference between the free music distributing netlabels, and
the traditional commercial labels, with physical discs.
I like the community behind the netlabel world, the people have common
goal of getting their music some exposure and the pressure of making
sales, to get expenses covered is not present in that world.
So I feel being part of the netlabel community being more important.
Also, if you are bothered by the audio quality of mp3 files, you
can always ask me to burn a CD for you, I wouldn't mind.
Dear MySpace users, it would be really lovely to see some personal
communication from you, along with your friend request. I'm afraid there
isn't much point in approving your request, in case you already have "enough" friends on your profile. I think you should understand why.. ;)
