Working with a.....904 Moog... Pre-polyphonic synthesizers at the University of Iowa. First years of the Center for New Performing Arts. Joined Robert Wilson's Theater Company and traveled through Europe composing avant guard musical works. Returned to NYC and performed around from pit orchestras to Catskill gigs. Returned to the University of Iowa to study the orchestra. I don't really want to try or sound like anyone but Ray Burkhart. There is no pressure on me to break into the scene so I'm going to be me and I hope I sound unique and without any extra baggage.. About Ray (Planetpassenger) Burkhart

............. I've been in small bands, orchestras, symphonic bands, sessions, street gigs, road houses, you name it, since the sixties.. Now the technology has enabled me to stay home and selfishly do most of it myself. So, it's not a band! I've been doing this for ever but recently decided to mix it up with the 'spacers'. My music is all over the place and will always be. Check out some of the music, let me know what you like................ ............................More importantly.................. I am worried about our future and the lack of passion against our elected leaders who are doing us wrong. Is our country getting flushed down the toilet? Do you care?........... "Stand Up For America" contains my political rant over the situation we've gotten ourselves into. Is it really un-American to be against an unjust war? Hell no!! "Gotta Stand Up", a song urging everyone to stop accepting the 'bullshit' being fed to us from our political leaders. OK, that's enough. ....................... On the lighter side, enjoy "Cow Bingo", an actual event for down home folk who know how to make life simple. "Paintball Freak of Coney Island" is my homage to the genre of the 'carny life'...
