About me: I am a creative junkie and PlanetPinknGreen.com is my blog. I am fueled by passion and get off on stuff like visionaries and entrepreneurs who care about humanity and the environment. My purpose on this planet is to explore, inspire and celebrate things that are innovative and different and that come in all colors, shapes and sizes, pink and green included. If you haven’t already guessed, pink refers to the female view of things and green to the masculine perspective. Together they create the yin and the yang balance needed to heal the planet.
You’ll often see me blogging about my own life experiences like how changing the paint in my living room has changed my life or how I embrace forgiveness instead of rage. I call those love notes from Cheryl. I am decadent I’ll admit and covet high design especially when it is both beautiful and earth loving. However, sometimes it's the simple things that move me, like how speaking your truth is sexy or how some eco-roofs remind me of my own curly hair.
I talk about a lot about different things here on MySpace and on Planet Pink n' Green and I’m very visual about it. Good European design, feng shui and novelist Paulo Coelho happen to be among my favorite things to muse about. I also offer free design advice called ‘Design Q&A’ and encourage anyone to ask questions relating to their own design challenges.
I started Planet Pink n’ Green (http://www.planetpinkngreen.com)about a year ago in Portland, Oregon as a natural extension of my former work as an interior designer and feng shui consultant. I found myself, in an effort to keep costs down for my clients, referring them to big box stores for furniture and decorative items. Eventually I had a crisis of conscience and knew I needed to make a change. I decided to go out into the community, and find resources that were beautiful as well as earth friendly (pink and green) and ended up producing and starring in video blogs that highlighted some eco-chic pioneers. It was really scary yes, but also exciting and important in raising awareness around entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations who were re-shaping the way the world conducted business. I’m happy to report that I see that trend growing. You can watch the videos on the video page of the blog and also see me samba dancing; another favorite activity of mine.
Planet Pink n’ Green continues to evolve and grow in many directions. Really it is just a place to celebrate the best parts of being human. It’s also a growing collective of people who contribute their unique stories, get inspired and passionate about ideas, and come together in a commitment to care for our surroundings. The world is changing, and I’m really grateful to be alive and to be contributing solutions.

You are a Beautiful Woman!!!” Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month? Well, it is and that means you!!! I'm supposed to send this to FIVE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, and you are one of them!!! Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips?" It was read at her funeral years later.
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness...For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone... People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
If you share this with another woman, something good will happen. You will boost another woman's self esteem, and she will know that you care about her.
It's BEAUTIFUL Women Month Hugs,
Squeeeeeze!!! You've been given a hug. So start hugging xoxoxoxxo ♥♥♥♥♥
Unimaginable human suffering and mass animal extinction from global warming. A national security nightmare brought on by our dependence on foreign oil. A peak oil crisis threatening economic collapse.
Thanks for keeping the light on! Our lives are so linked to one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good…
How can we help? Do something good with your GreenBeans! You’ve got 100 waiting for you! Spend them now or send them to your favorite cause. Get them at www. greenbeansrewards. com

We got to hear speakers like Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul books), John Gray (Mars/Venus books), Dr. Becky Natrajan (Isagenix), many of the Isagenix Trainers & Top Leaders (Susan Sly, Lenny Evans, Luna Pang, etc.), John Anderson (formulator of the Isagenix products), and Jim & Kathy Coover (Isagenix Pres. & VP)!
One of the highlights of the awards ceremony was to see Elisa Wheeler & Liz Clarno walk the stage to receive their CRYSTAL EXECUTIVE awards. This award is given to those consultants who give the gift of Isagenix to 10 people and those 10 people give the gift of Isagenix to 2 people. The network of 30 people must be achieved within the first 6 months of beginning your home business! It's a remarkable award to be honored with!!! Congratulations Elisa & Liz!
Our most memorable moment from this trip would have to be meeting Dr. John Gray in person. Graham actually set this whole scenario up without me knowing about it. I was listening to a keynote speaker and Graham found out that John Gray would be signing books. He talked to John's personal assistant and told her (and later John) about our story…did I forget to mention that Graham came to get me from listening to that keynote speaker! He told me that John Gray wanted to meet me!!! I was overwhelmed with emotion. How do you thank someone who has given you LIFE! The only way I feel this can be accomplished is to continue being an advocate for his books, his line of Mars/Venus products, & continue to LIVE a healthy and happy life!
We are so blessed to be a part of the Isagenix family! Go Team Rocky!
Rocky is our Team Leader & #33 Top Earner in the Isagenix Family!
"Most of us are in touch with our intuition whether we know it or not, but we're usually in the habit of doubting or contradicting it so automatically that we don't even know it has spoken. " -- Shakti Gawain
As some of you already know, I was just in New Orleans doing some work with The Dirty Hands Caravan. It's an organization that was started by actor Sean Penn and it's main focus is to promote volunteerism across the country and world.
There are still a handful of Dirty Handers hard at work to clean up the neighborhoods in NOLA. Valerie and I are on our way back to help again for a week or two this June 23rd. There are a pile of things to do, houses to gut, walls to paint, kids to hug, people to encourage so if it's in your heart to go pitch in and help, let me know and I'll add you to our group.
You will need to provide your own transportation to NOLA. We will all be staying in the Dirty Hands house or a near by church. We will also be doing group meals, most will be provided but bring some money just in case. We need a head count asap. If you need other details, please feel free to send me an email.
On a personal note, my last trip to New Orleans has changed my life. Living and doing for something and someone other than yourself is the best. If you have or are doing it, you already know what I'm talking about. If you don't, you will if you come with us.
If you can't come, donations are always welcome. Home Depot gift cards are something we can always use. If you want to donate money or anything else to help our efforts, I'll send you info on some great organizations. If you want me to take your donation down and personally make sure it gets to the people that need it the most, let me know and I'll send you a mailing address.
