Other Planet X News; Doreen is currently involved with the Liverpool World Museum, she is assisting in the early stages of a major Liverpool 'music' based exhibition to open in 2009.
She was also involved in the creation of 'Eric's - The Musical' which has recently finished a very successful run at The Everyman; look out for news of further runs, and the possibility of taking the production on tour!
Doreen also features throughout the wonderful Jaki Florek book 'Liverpool Eric's' out now - All the main players from Eric's are interviewed, pictures, flyers etc have been re-dicovered; it really is a fascinating book of interest to everyone involved in the Liverpoool music scene, and everyone with an interest in the era and beyond.

Movies
On occasion we showed films, I recall showing 'A Clockwork Orange' at MacMillans - You see in 1983 it was still a banned film so we watched a crappy video of it that Kenny owned - None of your 5:1 surroundsound then!!
We used to show promo video's but that was a nightmare, as some poor bastard had to splice lots of 3min films into a 3hr tape!!
Television
We had lots of them - Any one remember that bloody wall of them in Temple Street? Might of looked good, but it was no fun wiring them up...
Books
One day, all of this will get written down. I did start, but then having read Copeys 'Head-On' I thought he had covered it, however I now realise he hadn't.
Best get my biro out!! Might just have it finished for the 30th Reunion...

THE RETURN OF THE BAT
Specimen will bring their special brand of glam mayhem, The Batcave to London again.
After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood.
Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment.
The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welco

Dunno how long this page has been up but it's about time I guess. I was in DEVOID - good to see some of the old flyers on the pics page. Must be the years of drug abuse but I cant even remember playing with some of them bands. SFA, for example.
Hey Planet Xers. We are playing a free gig in Liverpool at The Caledonia, Catherine St on Thurs. 5th March. Starts 8pmish. Plus punky sounds in between the bands/ Pete B & The DLs x
