PLAN FOR THE SORROW I Am The Devil
Spare Change Records
Why do bad things happen to good people? The answer is simple, really, EVERYONE has their crosses to bear. Plan For The Sorrows master mind Ray Michaud is no different. Luckily inner strength manifests from personal loss. And what better use of these raw emotions then to fuel the inner fires of creativity, by tapping into the anger and hostility.
But this hostility isnt there to slash off your ears rather its there to cleanse your pre-exsisting wounds, And as a reminder that nothing can hurt you if you PLAN FOR THE SORROW.
There is an immediate infectiousness on Plan For The Sorrow's debut for Spare Change Records "I Am The Devil." Relying on dire emotion and chilling melodies to achieve intense levels of emotion...vocalist Ray Michaud seemlessly interlocks throaty screams with impassioned clean vocals, as thick riffs are welded to a core-trembling rhythmic bottom end, coating your mind with an infectious aural resin.

PLAN FOR THE SORROW I Am The Devil Spare Change Records
"These songs reflect the fact that when all seems lost, there is still hope. You have to fight your way through." – Raymond Michaud, vocals
Turmoil as gasoline: The fuel that drives PLAN FOR THE SORROW's emotional (NOT emo.) charge. The rampant honesty, owning betrayal and loss to the point where the line between artist and work disappears. Pain succumbing to vision.
What began as a one-man inspiration now sees life as a full-fledged band. Founder Raymond Michaud — joined by powerhouse drummer Justin Mothersele (denythefallout, Divine Blackened Path), bassist/vocalist Roman Garback (Scar Culture, Shrouds), guitarist ryan leblond and guitarist jason hobart (8trak mind, shrouds) — harnesses all the melody of classic '90s East Coast post-hardcore and updates the sound on the band's Spare Change Records debut, I Am The Devil, with a thoroughly modern groove and production. Oh yeah, Ray did the production too. Alan Douches at West West Side (everybody) handled the mastering.
Michaud's impassioned determination and strength of will has already been met with accolades. Leadoff single "The Thought Of You" has already made a strong showing with adds at college and modern rock radio, and a video is in the works to advance the album's June 24 release.
"Plan For The Sorrow is not afraid to be honest. The music has to be pure for us to be satisfied."
Catharsis in excelsis. An outpouring and purging of all the rawness that makes us human.. Michaud's vision is the answer to a world of decreasingly lucid self; open, complete and undeterred. Sorrow to the masses…
