About me: I was discovered by Robert Hooke in the year 1665. Robert Hooke was the first to discover and name me 'Plant Cell'. He named me Cell because my structure looked very similiar to cells (small rooms).
Who I'd like to meet:
THE ORGANELLES I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FUNCTION WITHOUT.
I'd like to dedicate this section to my organelles, whom I could not function properly without:
Nucleus - Is my storehouse that holds all of my DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)
Cytoskeleton - The network of proteins that is constantly changing to meet my needs.
ER (Endoplasmic Reticulum) - Produces my proteins and lipids to get me through the day.
Ribosomes - Are the tiny organelles that link the amino acids together to form proteins. *Ribosomes are themselves made of proteins and RNA.
Golgi Apparatus - Closely layered stacks of membrane-enclosed spaces that process, sort, and deliver the proteins throughout me.
Vacuole - Is a sac filled with fluids and is used for the storage of materials needed for me. The central vacuole gives me strength and helps support the entire plant.
Cell Wall - Gives me protection, support, and shape.
Chloroplasts - Are organelles that carry out photosynthesis.
