The PlanterPlus® differs from traditional pots in many ways. The pot itself is made out of a long lasting durable and attractive plastic with a unique sealed dual wall construction. The PlanterPlus® can be filled with water through an inlet hole located on the top of the planter which is then closed with a small cap to minimize evaporation. Holes located in the bottom interior of the pot provide for the enclosed irrigation system that is not exposed to the air. Interestingly, water consumption is regulated by the plant itself as it "drinks" using a process called capillary action from the soil that is moistened from below.
