The town lies on a small strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, is about one mile long and only two blocks wide. Despite its small size and low year-round population of about 300, it is not uncommon for 30,000 to descend upon the town during summer weekends. Numerous bars and rock clubs line Coastal Highway (Delaware Route 1), the town's main street, including the "Bottle & Cork," which attracts nationally-known acts. "The Starboard", another popular bar, is well-known for opening as early in the morning as Delaware law permits and offers a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar every day with breakfast. On summer nights, particularly on the weekends, Route 1 is choked with professionals turned party animals hopping from one nightspot to another, backing up traffic for miles...

Okay PLARS Dewey Pimps and Ho's looking at a date for the big PLARS Dewey Beach House Opening. We could do it memorial day weekend on (sat the 24th or sunday the 25th) it would be easier for me to get the acoustic acts if it were sunday since most play in bands on saturday. Let us know what date seems to make the most sense..
