PlasmaticBrainSpasm formed in late 2003 by Ryan Branstner (guitar, vocals), and Shawn Bachinski (bass), formerly of electro group Perfect Orange. Joined by female vocalists Pepper, Kah, and drummer Aaron Bellamy (Sound Imperium, Soul Reaction). They finished their self-titled debut in 2005 to good reviews, spending the next 2 years playing gigs, showcases, and art events. They were on Pioneer Press’s – Audiophiles Guide to the Twin Cities compilation in 2005, and the Rift magazine compilation in 2007. Receiving airplay on local programs, Off the Record (Radio K), Local Sound Department (KFAI), and The Local Show (89.3 the Current), and support from Spacebar Radio (96.3 Eau Claire). They are currently playing out and working on their follow up release. Due in June 2008.

You all were excellent! Loved listening to your music live. The drums sounded amazing - if my eyes had been closed I'd never known the man wasn't present. Besides vocalists, the ladies are lovely entertainers & great fun to watch. Can't wait for the next show!

pbs will be playing again in the spring? i’ll have to check you out once i’m moved back! i could probably enjoy 2noho without the mind altering chemical, but i might be drunk! ;) till then.
