In the summer of 2005 Plastic Gods was concieved in the shadows of Reykjavík. Dagur and Ingólfur, the founding members, were at first planning a stoner/sludge project but as time passed, things slowed down considerably and Doom was added to the mix.....................................................................

Íslenskt Drunrokk, umfjöllun um Quadriplegiac.(review)
''Hingað til hefur hið svokallaða drunrokk/
dómsdagsrokk/sorarokk (,,drone'', ,,doom'', ,,sludge'')
ekki verið áerandi hér á landi þó að geirarnir lifi góðu lífi
erlendis.
nefna trommuleikinn. Söngur Ingólfs Ólafssonar(úr dauðarokksveitinni Severed Crotch) eykur þá skemmtilega á myrkrið . Hljómsveitinn verður seint
sökuð um að finna upp hjólið, enda varla tilgangurinn, en á heildina
litið er þetta vel heppnuð frumraun''

THE EVIL INQUISITION issue 9:review
....Iceland is currently having a very hard time of things what with the economic crisis biting down so hard on the countries financial sector, but things are never as bad as they seem and luckily the tiny arctic island of geysers and ice palaces still has the time and resources to export fine upstanding epic drone doom metal direct from it's capital city of 'Reykjavik'. Although only three tracks in length, 'Plastic Gods' and their debut full length 'Quadriplegiac' weight into the metal bout with some heavy duty doom epics under their belt and a grim perspective on the world around them, maybe the credit crunch has effected them worse than I feared!! Now down to the music and apparently 'Plastic Gods' have a drummer by the name of 'Hossi' but he doesn't feature until six minutes in to the opening track, this has to be some kind of record! As far as drone doom goes this band has everything, long winding songs with no end in sight, down tuned riffs that bang out at a snails pace yet seemingly destroy all around them and an all round sense of apocalypse, catastrophe and blackened minds collaborating to form one single doom laden entity hell bent on making the world an even more grim place than it already is. That is 'Plastic Gods' and their oddly entitled new release, maybe its a band time to be a tourist in 'Iceland' right now as you definitely do not want to incur the wrath of this five piece drone doom militia!!,, [7.5]

Grapevine issue no.6-May22 -June 4 2009
After leading us on with thirteen minutes of magnificent drone, Quadroplegiac's opening track devolves into a stoned, floppy masturbation session, as happy to adopt rock and metal's biggest clichés as it is to ignore their ground rules. This sets the tone nicely for the two other epic-lengt tracks on the album, wich both shift carefully between abject, angst-ridden doom and massive power riffs barely visible through the cloud of bong smoke around them. And as if the 'Stoner-rock'(what a stupid term) posturing wasn't bad enough, it also seems haphazardly thrown in, as if an afterthought. The tough-guy blues riffs have been done to death, and frankly the album doesn't need them. It functions perfectly well as an exhibit of glorius, unforgiving sludge, as entrancing as it is satanic. Doom will never die, DOOMRAISER too! As one door closes, another opens. Valerio has decided to leave the band; he wants to concentrate more on his other projects. We all wish Valerio the best of luck with his new vocation. He was, and remains, a formidable guitarist and was an integral part of DOOMRAISER.
However, it is with great pleasure that DOOMRAISER announce that Valerio’s replacement is to be none other than our good friend and brother, the fearsomely talented musician Willer. He played bass with evil blacksters Grimness and he’s involved in Black Land, an awesome and obscure heavy psychedelic band from Rome. Practices have been going very well, and Willer is already adding a new, acid and exciting dimension to the band as a whole. His first gig will be at Sinister Noise Club in Rome on the 21th November: a special and drunken night celebrating the birthday of one of the most important Italian underground rock scene club!
A song from our upcoming album, Dementia and Filth, titled Storming Corporeal Temples has been added to our profile. Also we have a different song from the album on reverbnation called insignifiCUNT, you can also listen to that song on our web page bastardband.net
We thank you for the add. We’re just a small band, but we’d be delighted if you listened to our Garage Rock songs and you sent us any kind of comment!! If u couldn’t we’ll be happy if you just let this comment be shown, so that ur fans & friends get to know us. ☠
Hey - Thanks for the friendship! Music links us all together.
There are wars taking place in every country in the world. Some are
just more obvious. Check out my new video "Simpler Time". Reach out

has to come from within each of us. The alternative is unacceptable.
Music can make a difference. Keep reaching out.
