THE SOUND...
Once upon a time, a girl met a boy. The boy came from a land of windmills and coffee shops. The girl came from a land of skyscrapers and broken dreams. Her head was filled with songs. Once upon a time, a boy met a girl. They called their band Plastic Sky.
Together they make music that sometimes whispers, and sometimes screams. Susane sings and plays guitar and makes beats. Martijn creates sounds from guitar strings and computers. They love Thom Yorke solo, Radiohead, Spinvis, Coldplay, Pixies, Silversun Pickups, Beck, Muse, and Massive Attack.
Plastic Sky is iridescent, moody, indie rock. Plastic Sky is opposites enmeshing—the organic with the synthetic, the acoustic with the electronic, the dreamy and ruminative with the hard-hitting and abrasive. At times dark and brooding, at times tender and hopeful…always searching, ever restless…PS songs roam a terrain populated by love, memory, and politics, where lyrics push to the brink of poetry without spilling over.
