PLASTICTROOPS

We are a special team set up by the gathering of friends, brothers and sisters, who have met at parties and at night clubs. We have the same aim. That is, we hope the Thai night clubs and pubs can develop further for more variety of music. We also hope that they will be able to bring in such famous artists as Daftpunks or Digitalism at reasonable prices. We, therefore, create a party that can convey the contents such as arts and fashions that are hidden inside the music. This can be accomplished by expressing those contents through arts and fashions, all of which will be based on the knowledge and understanding of the experienced guests. They will be putting across the ideas in their own informal ways. From the designers, who love music, to the most experienced music listeners in Thailand. The party stressing the Electro music that has been inspired by the 60s-80s eras. We will apply those to our 2008 modern sound technology.

PLASTICTROOPS กำลังจะจัดปาร์ตี้รอบหน้าในปี 2009 ช่วงระหว่างเดือน MAY- JUNE ก่อนฤดูฝน และเป็นปาร์ตี้สุดท้ายที่จะจัดในประเทศไทย ในปีนี้ ซึ่งผู้จัดต้องไปรักษาการเป็นเวลา 1 ปีครึ่งอย่างต่ำ ณ เมือง LONDON ประเทศอังกฤษ

เป็นที่รู้กันว่า INDY MUSIC หรือ ดนตรีซาวด์แปลกใหม่ หรือล้ำๆ (ที่ทั่วโลกยอมรับ) แต่เรามักจะไม่ได้การสนับสนุนการจัดงาน(SPONSOR) ในรูปของเม็ดเงินจากระบบ MARKETING ในประเทศไทย ดังนั้นแนวทางของเราคือจะสร้างปาร์ตี้ของเราให้กลายเป็น MAINSTREAM ในวันหนึ่ง ซึ่งหลังจากนั้น การนำ DAFTPUNK มานั้นคงไม่ใช่เรื่องยากอีกต่อไป (ใช้เวลาอีกหลายปี)

Doom & Hoodrat Pioneers of the sound that’s come to be known as "dimensioneer dance", Hoodrat and Doom are trailblazing DJ’s completely unafraid of taking a trip into the murky waters of the sonic exploration, with complete disregard for acceptable club convention and what is commonly recognised as “good cricket”. Taking influence from current erectro-house, baile punk, minimal hechno, 90’s French horse, 80’s new wave and 70’s disco, these disc jockeys (without horses) not only pioneer new dimensions (with, or without horses), they also help the deaf 'n' disabled, the young 'n' restless, the mellow 'n' yellow and the aged 'n' agitated to discombobulate into parallel universes. -For those who haven't heard of the Bang Gang, please introduce yourselves to them. The BangGang is made up of 6 members - Doom, Damage, Hoodrat, Dangerous, Ajax and Nolan Nolan. BangGang was originally the name of a weekly party we started In Sydney about 5 years ago. We were only going to run it for a few months but ended up doing it for close to 3 years. From that party we started DJing as a team and individually outside the club, doing mix cds, hosting rooms at festivals, running our own label and doing a lot of stuff with our buddies at Modular.

-How would you define your music style? Bits of everything i guess. We are into pretty diverse styles of music and like our sets and mix cds to move around a lot.

-How do you think music influences fashion, or vice versa? It's a bit like the chicken and egg qiestion isn't it? Both influence it each other i guess...

-Which is your favorite fashion label? And why? I like Ksubi cause my good buddy dan and banggang memeber owns it, dior homme cause they make sweet suits and kim jones cause they make the best polo shirts.

-Do you think music is a form of fashion? Nope, not unless your'e fischerspooner.

-What is the most fashionable music trend of the moment? Probably some indie electro nonsense but nothing beats Techtonik for me.

-Do you have any DJ outfit you wear in particular when you deejay? Bumless chaps and whistle. Kidding. Tshirt and any form of pants is good with me.

-What you would never wear at a gig? A hitler moustache.

-What you think is the most stupid fashion trend?

Those croc shoes. Although the singer from hot chip can kinda pull it off.
