Plastique E (aka. Julien Poublanc) was born in Toulouse, France in 1976 and moved to Toronto in 2001.
His artworks includes abstract paintings, non narrative films and rather noisy music.
His approach bounces between spontaneity, experimentation and accident.
Originally recorded on a 4 track, les gens seuls varies in style: lost harmonies in a land of concrete sound (two movie soundtracks); lo-fi rock over screams, sad melodies and repetitive patterns. FM radio, hacked tape player, water or maltreated guitars held against the spinning reels of a film projector are the outlaw of Plastique E alternative operation.
