Platform 13 started April 2008 as a three person Indie rock band (Jay, Jack and Tobi). The band wrote, recorded and produced their first album ('Mind The Gap') which consisted of 10 tracks of various different genres including rock, ballad, indie, funk, pop and spanish. After gigging and a two week tour of the south on England during the summer (2008) the band decided to bring in a fourth member to make the band sound fuller and give them a lot more flexibility within writing. Jimi Hart entered the band in early September (2008) and gave the band a more thicker touch as well as the sound they were looking for. after 4 months of writing, recording and gigging Jimi left the band to pursue further dreams. In January (2009) David Matkin joined Platform 13 as the new guitarist and filled the missing space quickly, learning all of the old material as well as writing new. The band are currently writing and recording their new album which should be released July 2009.
Its good, but make the songs availible for download. spreads word of mouth more as people download them and can play them to mates on their mp3 players etc...
