About me:
Platform 1 is a non-profit night providing a platform for dubstep, grime, niche & all new underground music. Up and coming djs and producers get a chance to play alongside known heavyweights and by keeping the entrance fee stupidly low (£4) we are giving everyone a chance to experience the famous dubstep family vibes without the damage to the bank balance. Corsica Studios also has a beautiful Funktion 1 Soundsystem and a covered outdoor smoking area!
All profits from the night are split evenly between artists.
Platform 1 and its past incarnation Redstar Sessions have given many new artists the chance to play out, when there were little or no grass roots nights around. Many of the DJs that played their first sets here are now doing big things, so if you want the chance to see artists on the cutting edge this is the place.
Platform 1 is the second Thursday of every month at Corsica Studios in Elephant & Castle.
