   Jim's Blurbs
About me:

I'm Jim, but you might recognize me as "that guy (formerly) with the hair."
I'm essentially a hippie in every sense of the word except those that include drugs.
I'm a very peaceful person, but I speak my mind on issues I feel strongly about.
I listen to a lot of music.
I'm primarily a metalhead and listen to most of the various subgenres of metal,
but I also listen to classic rock, punk, psychedelic, oldies, funk and disco, and basically anything with good bass.
I play bass for a power-thrash band called War's Remains
and basically everything for a black metal band called Winter's Plague.
I also make hippie music using my own name.
I don't fit the typical musician/metalhead stereotype.
I don't drink, and I don't require sex and drugs with my rock 'n' roll.
Music speaks for itself and doesn't need to be accompanied with controlled substances or meaningless intimacy to be fully experienced.
I don't believe in a god, God, or any other higher power,
but I consider myself more than just a simple atheist.
If I had to put my religious ideologies into words, I would refer to myself as a progressive atheist practicing secular humanism.
Needless to say, if you don't approve of my beliefs, chances are I don't approve of yours.
I'm also a vegetarian, so deal with it.
Some may say I have "unconventional" beliefs concerning several issues,
and even I don't consider myself to be "normal" by societal standards.
Why are you still reading this?
Don't you have anything better to do?
Have you noticed the secret message in this "About Me" yet?
Did you seriously just look for a secret message?
There isn't one. What an idiot.
Sorry about that. Back to me.
I write poetry, and that doesn't make me "emo." I am an artist, not "emo."
I'm chronically sarcastic in my speech.
If you haven't noticed that yet, you will.
Despite my sarcasm, I can be one of the most serious people you will ever meet.
I like to think I'm more mature than most my age, and I hold myself to that standard.
Contrary to popular belief, I am not a drug user (I consider alcohol a drug as well), a Satanist, or gay.
I have nothing left to say, but I think it would be fun to have a Cockney accent.
If you wish to, you can contact me on AIM - salve6satanas66

Comments go down there.

Who I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet anyone who doesn't view me through a veil of stereotypes: open-minded individuals, those who are not quick to judge, and those who I can agree or debate with in a sophisticated, healthy manner. Maturity is something I desire in those I meet. If you don't know the meaning of the word at least to some extent, I'd rather not know you.
