PLAY BEEZY is one of the hottest artists emerging out of the south. Born Kevin Mayfield and raised in Fort Worth, Texas Play Beezy has been waiting on his chance to introduce himself to the world. He has a style all his own with a voice and stage presence that demands attention. Play Beezy was apart of the rap group Play Boi and Six which split in late 2006 making this Play Beezy’s first attempt to step out of his former groups shadow. Feeling as if he needed to close that chapter in the book of his career and move on Play Beezy changed his name from Play Boi to Play Beezy! “It’s like being a new beginning for me! I have stepped my game up and I’m ready to get it!” Play Beezy is no stranger to performing live! He has rocked stages from Texas, to Atlanta, and all the way from Nashville, to Chicago! “I love performing and giving the people a show! There is nothing like having people go crazy as soon as you step into the stage lights!” Beezy says that the best show that he has played was at the Hard Rock Café in Dallas, TX.
Now as a solo artist Play Beezy says he has finally found himself. He is signed to the independently owned record label Holla At Me Entertainment which is owned and managed by Cedric Felder.
