Уникальный трансатлантический альянс Американской музыкальной индустрии и талантливейших Российских исполнительниц – именно так можно кратко описать концепцию поп-рок коллектива PlayGirls.
Айя Шилова и Аня Суровцова - две прекрасные во всех отношениях девушки, которые работают под руководством продюсера Роберта «Robson» Рубени, стали солистками проекта после долгих поисков талантов в обоих полушариях планеты. Дуэт Ани и Айи оказался именно тем, что принесло успех проекту.
Проект PlayGirls начал работу над своим материалом еще в США, где были записаны несколько первых синглов, над которыми трудились маститые инженеры и саунд-продюсеры. В первом составе, партнершей Айи по проекту была американка, но после полугода работы над проектом, было принято решение продолжать развитие PlayGirls в России и Американская солистка не полетела в Россию. Айя осталась в коллективе одна. Однако, Роберт продолжал писать музыкальный материал для Айи. Прилетев в Москву, PlayGirls занялись поиском второй солистки. Когда на кастинг пришла Аня, все было решено – именно она должна была стать второй половинкой дуэта.
После появления новой участницы проекта, PlayGirls начали усиленно репетировать концертную программу. Одно из таких выступлений в отборочном туре конкурса «Евровидение» позволило коллективу войти в пятерку лидеров этого тура. Для молодого коллектива подобный успех стал лишь отправной точкой в пути на музыкальный олимп.
Роберт Рубени в итоге принял решение сконцентрироваться на работе именно с PlayGirls. Настоящим Днем Рождения коллектива можно считать 30 апреля 2009 года, когда группа устроила настоящее шоу перед ведущими игроками отечественного шоу-бизнеса, на презентации Восточно-Европейского филиала американского лейбла "W Record".
Не удивительно, что после этой презентации именно "PlayGirls" стали первым проектом из Восточной Европы, продюсируемым компанией "W Record". Попасть в компанию к DMX, "Wu Tang Clan", Eve, "Public Enemy", Mya, Aaliyah, Brandy и другим международно известным артистам стало настоящим прорывом для перспективных артисток из России.
Абсолютным достоинством группы является полноценные живые выступления, в которых присутствует лирика поп-баллад и драйв задорного рока. «PlayGirls надо видеть живьем, - говорит Роберт Рубени - Они взорвали клубы в США своим драйвом, настала очередь России оценить по достоинству талант и энергетику своих соотечественниц!»
