Welcome, gentle listener. I hope you're sitting comfortably as you peruse our world or, better still, perhaps you are lying down? Raising your arms up and down on the floor like a snow angel? No? Well, might we suggest you try that as you listen? We think it's better that way. You might want to pour yourself a little whisky, or ginger ale, whatever your tipple. Too much music is played to vertical people. We'd like to target the horizontals. Perhaps you're one of them. Perhaps not yet but one day soon you will find yourself flapping your arms and legs about in sonic extacy wriggling on the floor wondering Why The Hell Have I Stood THrough So Many Gigs When I Could Just Lie The FUck Down?
Yes, you may well ask yourself that.
And we'll be here for you when you do.
Promise.
Pleasure Bridles made their live debut on the deXter Bentley show on Resonance FM 104.4fm & on the internets. Since then we've started popping up on stages here and there, recorded our debut Happy Place EP, and started working on more songs to be recorded soon, once the leaves do their thing.
From time to time we like to wittle away to a tape recorder. We call it our Audioblog. Maybe you'd like a listen? You can find it at:

And finally, we leave you in the safe hands of our godmother, Mr Weldon Kees.
8.
And when your beauty, washed away
In impure streams with my desire,
Is only topic for ill-mannered minds,
Gifted and glassy with exact recall,
Gossip and rancid footnotes, or remote despair,
Let ruined weather perish in the streets
And let the world’s black lying flag come down.
Only in calendars that mark no Spring
Can there be weather in the mind
That moves to you again as you are now:
Tired after love and silent in this house,
Your back turned to me, quite alone,
Standing with one hand raised to smooth your hair,
At a small window, green with rain.
