    Plector is a death/thrash metal band from Umeå, northen Sweden and was formed in december 2006 by Erik Engbo (guitar, vocals), Vilhelm Norberg (drums) and Björn Algers (bass guitar, backing vocals). Before they started to play live Plector recorded a demo called "Äkta demo" in 2007. The song Get drunk or die trying got played on the Swedish TV-channel TV4 and got a good review from the former Idol jury member Daniel Breitholtz wich also is an A&R manager for Sony music. The music video for the song became a instant classic. Their first gig was at Åsele marknad july 2007 and got a good response early on from the crowds. During that year Plector shared stages with Feral and Ghamorean. In december their debut EP Suppressed Aggression was recorded and self-released in early 2008. In 2008 Plector got to play at the second House of Metal festival with bands suchs as Meshuggah, Unleashed and God Among Insects. The band played at all the thinkable places in Umeå during that year. In 2009 their debut album Dark & Spiteful was recorded and demos were self-released. A video was made for the song Spiteful Love and got alot of attention from people in the U.S. That summer the band went on their first mini-tour ever, in the states! The responce were great and people wanted more. After the tour the band started working on new songs and a new video. In 2010 the video for the song Alcoholic Refuge was released and got huge response. The band got gigs in the stockholm area as well, selling merchandise all over the globe. Plector got booked in Germany at the Metallergrillen festival as headliners. Then the band went back to the states to do a three week tour (17 gigs) with Turbid North and Vaste Burai. The gigs were in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois, Arkansas, Louisiana and Teenessee. The lineup changed afterwards with Patrik Wall on bass guitar from Apostasy. Plector is working on a new album and planning new tours for 2011.
