Pliny The Elder existed from 1982 to 1984. During those brief two years we made over 400 of the most incredibly annoying "songs" imaginable. I mean reaaaallllly baaaaaad music! You might think that Leonard Nimoy singing "If I Had a Hammer" was bad, but that was High Art compared to the musical mess we made. We sucked absolutely...and that was the point! We were three (sometimes more) young men fueled by adolescent angst, Dada-esque absurdism, and an unhealthy dose of general misanthropy. Pliny The Elder made "Outsider Music" when it was not at all hip to do so. Oddly enough, far more people liked us than we ever imagined. People are funny, aren't they?
