Okay, here are my nominations for Pixie (grin):

Natalie Wood, in Rebel Without a Cause
Both Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Grace Kelly, in Rear Window
Goldie Haun, in Overboard, First Wives Club, and The Banger Sisters
Leslie Caron, in Gigi (the musical - 1958)

Granted, Goldie Haun has already been accepted for Butterflies Are Free, or I would have suggested it. (big grin) I also note that Goldie Haun is acceptedly known as a "60s IT Girl." (rbg) IMO she's a perfect Pixie example, in film or life. Asked about marriage after having been married, she said, "I don't get it." Love it!! (lol) Also, the First Wives Club was obviously made up of girls who were inveterate pixies, even though they had lost or were losing their ungrateful husbands.

And Happy Birthday, John Lennon!!!

Yep. It's very convincing. I thought it was an O'Keeffe when I first saw it. Riley-Roberts has done a series of famous artist spoofs all with cats in them. Pretty original. The thing I should have realized is that I already knew O'Keeffe only did cows and horses. (grin) There's no dead cats to speak of out in the deep desert. I mean - they'd be hard to find.
(lol)

I LOVE O'Keeffe, too! (lol) The pic I'm using, though, is actually a spoof on O'Keeffe by a contemporary artist named Eve Riley-Roberts.

Yeah, well, considering that your "musical enthusiasm" is pretty much an obsession, I think your assessment is probably right on. (lol)

So yesterday my friend and I were trying to find this soup place that's supposed to be run by the original Soup Nazi. But we didn't know the name of the restaurant. So we tried calling goog411 for information. When the goog voice asks for what we're looking for, my friend says "soup nazi," which doesn't work, of course. Reminded me of our "Indian bar" iphone attempt.

"Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act. What did Conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things...every one! So when you try to hurl that label at my feet, 'Liberal,' as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work, Senator, because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor.
