ABOUT PLUMP DJs
We are the Plump DJs also known as Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, and for the past 10 years have been producing fat funk fuelled beats and DJ’ing all over the world.
In 1999 we hooked up with the awesome Finger Lickin’ records and released our first single ‘Electric Disco’. We then went on to put together a compilation of our remixes and productions which we titled ‘A Plump Night Out’. Luckily for us this seemed to work rather well and we began to pick up some steam. Soon after we were approached by Mixmag to mix their February 2001 cover CD. All this led to an increase in demand for our DJ sets, which included supporting Orbital on tour.
We continued to release singles and remixes as well as mixing the 8th album in the FabricLive series for well known London super-club Fabric in early 2003. In the summer of that same year we released ‘Eargasm’, for which we collaborated with the likes of Gary Numan and Louise Rhodes (Lamb) and ventured into more song based tunes. Eargasm has now gone on to become the name of our quarterly event at London’s club Fabric. In 2005 we put together a concept album called ‘Saturday Night Lotion’ and now in 2008 we are very proud to unleash our latest album, which we confidently believe is our best yet, it’s time for the Headthrash.
