Over the past few years, Plunket has grown up before the eyes of fans and friends alike. Since the release of their debut full-length album, “All We’ve Got Is This,” Plunket has worked itself into the conversation of stable Chicago bands. Their first single, Baby Steps, earned them radio play on Chicago’s number one rock radio station, Q101, as well as the Chicago area’s most prominent college radio station, WONC 89.1, supplemented by multiple appearances on the well-respected international internet radio station, Fearless Radio.
After a full national tour and nearly two years of extensive regional traveling, Plunket decided to come back to the basics of home to write for their next full-length album. They cut ties with anybody they had been working with in the industry and decided to depend only on themselves while writing. No producers, no manager, no agent, nobody but the five guys who will play the songs on stages across the world over the next couple of years. The process has been an exercise in honesty and trust between the five members of the band, but that’s exactly how it was designed.
“I feel like we finally have everyone in the band who is supposed to be in the band.” Chris Samsa, singer and guitarist explained in a recent interview with Fearless Radio. He went on to explain how relatively quick changes in members have finally fully stabilized and that the process of getting everyone onto the same page is sometimes not an easy one, but that the battles are worth fighting for the end product to be the absolute best that it can be, leaving all five members of the band fully satisfied musically while maintaining their pop sensibility.
While writing, Plunket hasn’t forgotten how to put on a live show or keep in touch with fans. They recently successfully headlined one of Chicago’s most storied venues, The Metro. A few weeks later they gave their hometown summer festival a breath of fresh air from the 80’s rock cover bands to bring some original music to a sea of hundreds of people who were curious what their local boys can do. They continue to play regionally while finishing up the writing process for their next album, which they plan on finishing up within the next couple of months. Although there may be no national or international touring plans set in stone for Plunket, they still make it a point to make the connections they can with fans across the world, posting frequent video updates and personally replying to every MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail message that they receive, no matter what, hoping that this new music will open up the doors to get out to their ever-growing fan base once again.

The only reason I'm "nutso" with my schoolwork is because I'm lazy and never do my trig or chem! I have a massive end-of-chapter-crap assignment to do for chem, but that's all the more work I have to do today. Okay, okay. Here goes my expert movie critic opinion. First off, it was not "the scariest movie on earth". It was, however, quite suspenseful and.. jumpy? It made me jump. I think the end is what gets most people. Was not expecting it. But see, people have radically different opinions on this movie. Some people say it was terrifying to the point that they cried, and some people say it was really stupid. I guess it's one of those you love it or you hate it kind of movies. I don't think it was as bad as people made it out to be, but it wasn't as scary, either. So I plan on getting some work done now, since it's still early, so I have the rest of the day to do whatever I please. It's actually beautiful outside, 60 and sunny :] Hope the weather is nice for you, too, and I hope you can relax since it's sunday! :D <33

aweee thank you soo much yeah the fighting did stop and we agreed to not fight like that again. But i can't really avoid fighting with my family cuz its just impossible but itry to ignore it, the weather is amazing! but yet i have to work all weekend so i don't get to really enjoy it but thats ok i got to go out after work and hang out with a friend i haven't talked to in a while so it was fun to get out of the house. so how are you? any shows coming up or races? i hope your weekend has been awesome!! have a lovely dayyyyy <3 :)

My week is speeding along, but I'm sure it'll slow right down as Saturday hits and I have to go to work! I'm sure I'll find a way to amuse myself!
alrighty i'll try to find it, yeah helloween was fun. my week hasn't been the greatest it seems like i'm always fighting with someone. its like my family is at eachothers throats all the time. and the only person i don't fight with is my boyfriend and he got mad at me today for something dumb and when my mom got home she was screaming so i wasn't in a good mood and when i'm not in a good mood neither is he so its like a vishus circle that needs to really stop here. you know i hate fighting and it seems like thats all i have been doing lately and my head is just ready to explode. but i'm working thursday through sunday so i'm hoping the time away will be nice and make things better at least with my family and maybe a visit back home would fix things with my boyfriend cuz i for one think that the distance is getting to us a little bit but he doesn't think so. well i hope your week as beeen awayyyyyyyyyyy better then mine have a wonderful night mister :)
Yeah I've had kind of a busy week, too. The end of the marking period is approaching quite rapidly and I've been swamped with homework, trying to catch up on what I've either not understood or been to lazy to do. I spent seriously five and a half straight hours doing trig today and I'm not done yet, but I need to sleep. The weather here sucks. Period. >< Snow flurries tomorrow, they say. I saw Paranormal Activity last night, too. Thought you would like to know. :] Hope you get a little less busy and a little more warm weather! :D <33

my helloween was awesome! i took little boys out trick or treating and people kept telling me to get candy too so i got a good amount haha. everyone loved my costum theres pictures if you wanna peeek, it was really fun. but my legs definetly hurt today. and i work tonight so we will see how that goes lol. i'm glad to hear your show was kick ass!!! i can't wait to see the videos!! have a wonderful dayyy!

I went to my primary school today to watch some fireworks... it was freezing, but my mates were around to give me some hugs! I need to do a load of homework before I go to bed tonight unfortunately... stupid Mondays..
