PLUSHGOOLASH

Bio:

Plushgoolash formed in 2003 and have since been producing music that has always had a fundamental humorous and nonsensical air to it. Their approach to music can often conjure up intricate sound and melody but always remains ultimately childlike. They make use of both, live instruments and electronically created sounds, often making use of household objects and occasionally animals too. The majority of their compositions are mischievous and surreal, once described as Dadaist pop. Although they are frequently categorized under a surrealistic and humorist label, they have also been known to produce ambient sounds and several Musique concrète pieces. Their experimental antics have often crossed over into their pop music styles and created interesting and often, dark pieces of music. They feel that they are unable to place their music into a particular genre and so they made these ones up for you to choose for yourself: _________________________________________________________________ Barmy-granddad, Twit-fusion, Noisy Library, Salmon Rock, Strop, Cabbage Hum, Mishy-mashy, Blip Snigger, Swing-bastard, Schit-hop, Roger Moore, Dog-a-thon, Sodden Groove, Conservatory, Gnome, Electropiss, Spazz Wrap, Wet Folk, Flan-jazz, Grindwaltz, Death Fence. _________________________________________________________________ Plushgoolash’s music has been featured on New York’s independent broadcasting station WFMU on playlists from Ergo Phizmiz’s Phuj Phactory, and played regularly in various clubs, pubs and venues in the north east of England. They created and produced all the music and sound for three comedy shows featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival spanning from August 2006 until August 2008. Their music will also be featured there in 2009.
