We are Plywood Doghouse - let us entertain you. An eclectic mix of Memphis music veterans and energetic newcomers.
Lead Singer Brian 'Doc' Nanney, also a founding member of the Voodoo Village People, plus Shreds, Soul Honkeys, and other bands.
Lead Guitarist Mike 'J. Earnhart' Vesey, member of the Snipes, The Blues Doctors, Atlanta's Jeanne B., and the Speed Billies, to name a few.
Rock Steady Bassist Maggie from No Exit, The Emily Patterson Band, and others.
Drums, Zack Merlino, who's spirited and skillful play completes our ensemble.
Together, we form Plywood Doghouse. Our repertoire ranges from hard rock to honky tonk ballads. The majority of our songs are originals and make for an entertaining and energetic show. Add this to our gift of witty stage banter and you have the complete package.
We are proud to announce that after MUCH hard work and effort, The Sheriffs of Nottingham will be releasing our debut CD, "Hard Places: The EP" on Saturday, November 14th.

Most of you Memphis folks know and love our good buddy Don Perry, photographer extraordinaire. Well, next Friday, 2/27, Don will be having a photo show at the Hi-Tone, and we'll be playing. I think the doors will open around 8 and you can come and check out Don's amazing pics, and even buy some of it. Don is doing really great work around town, documenting the music scene and the city of Memphis itself.
As usual, there's no opener. We'll start up around 10-ish, but get there before that so you can enjoy Don's photos without a couple of Fenders squawling in your ears.
