About me: MAMON & MAMON is a father and sons team. While Pastor Perry L, Mamon, Jr., and Perry S. Mamon III is responsible for the creation of all of the music, Minister,Troy L. Mamon, and Kurt Mamon takes care of all business matters of the organization.
The Mamon's have been in the music business for many years mostly in the Gospel field. In 1983, Perry L. ventured off into the secular field producing an album called "Stay Sunshine" that was recognized and sold greatly in Japan and the United Kingdom, as well as here in the United States. Perry S. is a music major, and became his father's
Band Director while still pursuing his Degree. He would be flown in on weekends to do major shows; then flown back to school the next day.
They have appeared and opened many shows for many Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Award Winners, such as Shirley Caesar, Al
Green, the Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Reverend James Moore, Five Blind Boys, The William Brothers,Luther Ingram, and many others. They are truly trailblazer's in the Chicago area.
Their sound is very unique with a mixture of Christian Contemporary Gospel, with an R & B flavor. They are known as the "Dynamic Duo" of Gospel Music similar to the O'Jays with a lot of soul. You can see their many years of experience in their productions and performances. They write, arrange, produce,and perform their own music. Perry S. Mamon is an accomplished musician, and plays four different instruments professionally. In the Recording Studio, they do their own lead, and background vocals, and produce all of their music scores and arrangements. These men are truly talented, and on a serious mission for God.
Troy Mamon, handles all Promotions, Bookings, and Marketing. Kurt Mamon is the Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. They own their own record label MMI Records, Inc., Publishing Company, Mamon Movement & Music, and their own Entertainment Agency. They produce many of the gospel acts that come to the Chicago and neighboring surburbs.
