   About PM Blues

Former Ronnie Earl guitarist Paul Marrochello breaks out on his own with the band PM Blues. Evolving from the same school as Ronnie, Paul combines Chicago blues with old standards, and with the addition of female vocals, has created a unique sound and style all his own. Complete with solid musicianship and dancers for an old style revue feel, PM Blues is ready to take the blues scene by storm.

Paul was a fan of the blues from a very early age. When all of the other kids were outside playing ball, he was locked in his room with the Muddy Waters album Sail On. True to his three Kings, Albert, Freddie and B.B., Paul left home in search of his blues future.

At just 19, Paul played the West Coast circuit with a blues outfit called Parchman Farm. It was there Paul had a chance to jam with such greats as John Lee Hooker and Jimmy Vaughan.

A long time fan of his former teacher, Paul Rishell, Paul came back to the East Coast and along with singer K.T. Gelwick, formed an acoustic blues duo. The duo was enjoying success when Ronnie Earl asked Paul to join him as his first permanent guitar player in 2000.

Paul played with Ronnie Earl for 2 years and recorded with him on the Ronnie Earl and Friends album. The recording featured, among others, blues legends Kim Wilson, James Cotton and Irma Thomas. Paul said playing with Earl was a spiritual experience. Incidentally, Earl dedicated the album to Paul.

Paul has once again teamed up with singer K.T. Gelwick and Rumbletones drummer Eric Austin, who also played in Ronnie Earl’s group with Paul, to form PM Blues. By integrating his passion and knowledge of authentic blues with his signature playing style and sound, Paul Marrochello has redefined blues guitar. With PM Blues, Paul and company have elevated the blues to an exciting new place.
