About me:

.... Since it's inception in June 2001 and it's formal establishment in August, 2001, the Pike Market Performers' Guild has developed a rapport between Performers and all Market organizations in a way never been done before. We are recognized as a legitimate organization, representing performers of the Pike Place Market. Our body of members have been formative in resolving difficulties between performers and Market Management. We have helped create a dialogue with security, in order to recognize their support of our role in The Market. We are establishing a network of gig outlets and self-promotion that is putting Pike Place Market performers in a more prestigious social light than ever before. What the Pike Market Performers' Guild is doing is a first for the Pike Place Market and for the City of Seattle. This is a personal and special invitation to you, whether performer, patron, or visitor, to attend any of our General Meetings, held every 3rd Monday, in the Goodwin Library (up the stairs by Best Flowers) and to join the Guild and get involved.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet all buskers. Our current contact info is g@gregspencewolf.com And we have a list serve pmpg@yahoogroups.com

Here's a video that was captured of me offering my bottleneck slide
interpretation of an old blues song, Goin' T' Brownsville, on open mic
night at Old Strokers in Everett, WA. It starts out with me briefly
introducing my homemade "Nobro" resophonic guitar and explaining some
of the various recycled garage sale junk that I used in it's
    construction. Enjoy!

    POEM OF LIGHT

Beyond your eyes exists a world
That all can learn to see
Within this world exists for us
    Infinite possibility

    Many are lost in darkness
    And cannot find their way
Because they choose to believe the lies
They hear from day to day

The future's yours the future's yours,
    If you open your mind
Discover what you do not know
    And greater truth you'll find

You and me and everyone are all beings of light
We can all live in harmony,
    If we increase our sight,
Open your heart open your mind,
    And see your path anew
The greatest joy in life will come
    From Loving Being You!

    Love all of life's Creations
Take time and you will grow
To know the truth and see the light and all you wish to know
Your energy creates life and knowledge is for sure
    Come know yourself,
    The universe,
And So Much, So Much More...

GLAD TO BE YOUR FRIEND, HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL AND AMAZING DAY. STRIVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEBODY'S LIFE TODAY, YOU'LL FEEL AMAZING AND REAP GREAT BLESSINGS!

Yes all my songs on my myspace are originals, wrote em. I didn't play the piano in them though, Murl Allen Sanders, local artist, layed out the piano parts. He did a fantastic job with the piano!

Hello, Seattle performers! With the weather still a bit cold and wet here in Seattle, I recently started writing a bit about busking, instead of actually doing it (LOL). It probably needs a bit of tweaking yet; but I've got a Squidoo lens up about Busking in Seattle. Hope it looks okay. I originally got into writing lenses as a way to promote some of my Cafepress shops; but I noticed there were a number of topics not being written about too extensively.

Anyway, thought I'd provide a link to it here, should y'all be curious...

In early October I wrote one of my latest songs called, “Wall Street Bail Out Blues.” Within four days of writing it, a video crew captured me playing it on the street at Seattle’s Pike Place Market and posted their video on YouTube. That video has now reached the attention of a writer for The Wall Street Journal who is writing an article about those who have written songs about our tough economic times. His article will be published this week and I’m excited to read it.

Who knows where this might lead? Call me an optimist but I have a feeling that this could mean that a few more seconds of that elusive fifteen minutes of fame might be coming my way.

It ain’t the cover of the Rolling Stone but it’s not every day that a writer from a major worldwide news outlet seeks me out to talk to me about my songwriting. That’s a huge validation of my efforts at staying true to my vision. I must be doing something right.

    Follow your dreams.

Wow, what a beautiful song from Niceol.
I'm at a loss for words on the passing of Jim Hinde. Jim was one of the first people at Pike Place Market to be friendly to me when I first started playing down there 12
years ago. Since then I've shared many a song with him around the fire at Oregon Country Fair. He always had a warm greeting for me when I saw him at festivals or around town. A lot of my favorite places won't be the same without him. Jim, you will be remembered and missed. Rest in Peace, Charlotte.

Words on this day from the great Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead......

    Reach out your hand
    if your cup be empty.
    If your cup be full
    may it be filled again.

Be a RIPPLE in the water that spreads out in life and a blessing to others.

    Happy Thanksgiving.
