The history of Phi Nu Kappa Sorority dates back to the founding days of our father fraternity, Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. Then it was only a twinkle in the eye of the father fraternity, but someone dared to make it reality.
Two females studs contacted Kappa Psi Kappa seeking information on creating a Fraternity for masculine-identified lesbian women, commonly referred to as Studs. Once they felt the information was concrete, the ladies called a meeting with the founders of Kappa Psi Kappa. Information was reviewed but a surprise came shortly afterwards.
These women asked if a "family" could be created. This family would comprise Kappa Psi Kappa fraternity for males, Phi Nu Kappa sorority for feminine lesbians, and Alpha Psi Kappa fraternity for those females who identify themselves as studs or doms.
D. Sean Benjamin was given the task of birthing Phi Nu Kappa; working along with the founder of Alpha Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc., Valerie DeShazer, weeks of organization took place. On February 20, 2002 after weeks of hard work and dedication, Phi Nu Kappa Sorority was born a twin organization to Alpha Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL by D. Sean Benjamin.
Since its conception Phi Nu Kappa Sorority, Inc has been diligently working in the community to provide services that impact those in society. We have expanded our membership roster and founded chapters in cities across the nation! We are actively striving to better ourselves and our organization through our programs, service, and the bond we share with one another.
