These people have given me a sense of right and wrong, given me a sense of worth and an ethic to continue to try to become a better person. They've taught me the value of being right but also the value of admitting when you're wrong, and this keeps my mind open to new ideas and points of view.
My brothers, Tom and Toby
As much as we fought and didn't get along growing up (lets face it, when there is 5.5 years between each of you, there isn't much you have in common growing up), these two men have taught me a lot (Tom literally taught me how to read when I was 3.) As we grew older and each of us started to move out, we realized just how much we had in common. If there's an argument to be made in favor of talent and intelligence being genetic or a blessing common to one family, I can't think of a better one than presenting my brothers to you.

This woman took a young boy, just out of kindergarten, as one of her youngest students ever. She saw in him a love of music and gave him just the right amount of direction, enthusiasm, and motivation to excel not only in music performance but music appreciation. |
