David Lynch's great short (a homage to the Lumiere brothers, it was actually filmed by the cameras they used in 1897) and of course, he's another hero of mine. So is Peter Greenaway, his Lumiere short is the one after Lynch's, enjoy!

This is a film by Maya Deren called Meshes of The Afternoon. I think that it's a superb piece of avant garde filmmaking. Maya Deren, a peer of the late Stan Brakhage created many experimental films. This film is widely known as her best piece of work. Meshes of The Afternoon is an absurd illustration of one's nighmarish world of murder, death, unrequited love and strangely mirrors. I adore this filmmaker and I hope that you enjoy this surreal masterpiece. Dur: 13:29

I am well my friend we have just got back from a short break which included a day in London. Looking forward to seeing you this Friday for a birthday Balba weekend.
Watched Strike and October the other day. They were fantastic visual astouding films. Just loved the sylised almost collage visuals. The Strike had some right bizzare characters in it, those people how lived in the barrels. Also that really bizzare sequence in which the man is asked to turn turncoat while those children ball room dance on that reseraunt table. Loved the machine fetishisium in October, the close up shots of the rifle are voyeuristic genius.
This book is great, a savage black comedy satire that rips the guts out contemporary America. The pace is brilliant you just can not put it down,in some bits I was howling with laughter. An amzing novel with shades of Chandler combined Americain Bueaty, brilliant just brilliant. Well worth a read.
Genius another great collection of short stories from the master British surrealism. From a city that goes on forever, to a british landscape dominated by huge subliminal advertising sign posts, a perhistoric sea flooding a suberb, a man turning into a baby, to a man discised in the skin of giant dead dove. Utter brilliance!
