14 Hour

Nov 13 2007 3:58 PM

14 Hour - live poetry and garage punk.

Saturday 17th November
7pm - Upstairs at The Griffin
93 Leonard Street
London
FREE

Three readings from Barnaby Tydman, Marrianne Morris and AnnMarie Eldon, with garage rock from Thee Andrew Copeman and sundry 14 Hour DJs. The night also features art from Claudia Moseley.

Barnaby Tydman - From PoetCasting: “His poetry is helped along by hairspray vision quests and the emotional power of the internet. It is written in the style of heavy metal tape mixes grinding backwards on a walkman, the incantations of whale music ringtones. His favourite formal structures are derived from BT phonecard application forms and the scripts of the local news and weather.”

AnnMarie Eldon - Rare opportunity to see Oxfordshire-based poet read in London. A major force within international online poetry and blogging, AnnMarie Eldon’s prolific output is widely available across the internet. One of the best-known British writers considered part of the “post avant” scene.

Marianne Morris - Born in Toronto and raised in London, Marianne founded Bad Press in 2002. Her poetry and reviews have been published in The Shearsman, Jacket, onedit among many others. From her MySpace: “Wage slave and amateur taxidermist.”

Sep 12 2007 7:37 AM

hey there! Hope you had a blessed summer.
I am coming back to London in a few weeks.
I am playing in the SYNERGY PROJECT, in the small world stage, the 5th of October.
I will be playing some new songs with a loop station... "Eagle Wings" and "I'm in the Dreamtime"
some tunes in which I explore harmonies while trying to create oniric sceneries...
Hope to see you there!
I am thinking I am playing relatively early in the beggining of the night.

Jul 30 2007 6:02 PM

ok, you are making my first visit to the UK a very scary and morbid one.

death... vs... depression/coffee/poems

how about we forego the death part and just go for "major ass kicking?"

i like that a lot better

aaaaaaaaaaaaarse kiiiiiiicking!!!!!
