“Ease On Down” Comment & more at RiffWorld.comGosh, About Me, hmmmm.... ok... well, I am a Christ Follower and God has given me an amazing Talent, the ability to touch others with words... I'm a writer and a Poet,(check out some of my Writings and Poetry on my Blog) with an unbridled passion for Photography. My cameras go with me EVERYWHERE! I'm always looking for that next BEST shot. Check out my photo albums, I've got some pretty good BEST shots..... I have worked, for over 20 years with Severly Mentally Handicapped Children, some with moderate to severe physical disabilities,... most were in Wheelchairs. I Realllly LOVE those kids!!..... I am Divorced, 36 years with one man... uh, what was I thinkin'? If you knew him, you would understand why I asked that question.... Monogamy was never one of his strong points. I guess it took me 36 years to figure out that it never would be..... I have 3 of the most supportive and wonderful kids in the world, and 4 Wonderful, Beautiful, Marvelous, Grandchildren. With another one on the way. My Beautiful Daughter Desty, has a kidney disease which struck her in her early 20s. she's on Kidney dialysis, and is waiting for a Transplant. And my Beautifully amazing Grandaughter Della, has cerebral Palsy. We could all learn a lesson or two about determination and overcomming obstacles from these two. I've lived in Panama City all of my life, sometimes I regret that, but...oh well, you know what they say about hindsight... 2020, and all that stuff! If I had it to do over again I would probably do MOST of it the same way!!! Sand between my toes and all that... Just maybe with someone else.... As I said, I write Poetry, about love, happiness, heartbreak and pain. and I've tried my hand at short stories, got a couple of could be country songs too. What is normal? you ask.. Well I'm finally finding out how normal life can be, after all these years, buuttt..... that's a long story and you'd be sittin' and readin' a long time if I tried to explain the relationship part of it, as for My Daughter Desty's needed Kidney transplant we're waiting for, (over 2 years now) and my Grandaughter CeDella's seizures getting under control, that part of my life is still unsettling, But God's got my back on those issues.... When the time is right, it will be..... If you've never thought about being a living donor, please consider it. There are so many people like Desty, she's on the transplant list at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. At only 33, She is the Mother of a Son. The number to call at UAB is 1-205-975-9292, and ask for Michelle Dennis, the Living donor coordinator. Tell them you want to be tested to see if you match Desty Mathis. I know it sounds like I'm begging.... But I'm not, Just wanta plant a seed, if it grows, there will be power behind that growth, to make it flourish. If it doesn't, then it wasn't meant to be. I am the leader of the creative writing team, and a member of the visual arts team at Northstar Church here in PC. One of only a very few churches in the US that has a Worship Arts Team. Visual Arts, Drama, Music, creative writing, God created Art, so I don't understand why more churches don't support their artists better. If you're an artist, you might want to join us. Our Church is AWESOME. It has grown from 600 attending January of 2008 to 1,700 in January of 2009. With 4 services every sunday the first one at 8:15 and the last one starting at 12:15.Who would have ever thought that Rock music and church would go together? A totally unique place! So what did I forget? Brandy! I have a 15 year old Shitzu named Brandy. Who thinks she's a person... My kids all say I've spoiled her, Maybe I have..... but She's my Buddy! ..
