Virgogray Press is an indie publisher, proudly making chapbooks and presenting the world with fresh poetry from genuine voices. We're just wanting to add to the many great works out there and are happy to be part of the literary movement! We are currently accepting manuscript submisssion for chapbook publication, but not for long. On Dec. 1, 2009, we will no longer be taking submissions for chapbook length manuscripts becuase we already have plenty of great poets to come in 2010, but we are still accepting general poetry submissions for other publications, so if you are a poet who wants to have your work published, or maybe wants others to read your work in the form of a publication, check out our website for details and maybe you can hop along with the Virgogray Press familiy, too!

TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare;
Sea, country and works scent the air;
A multitude of monuments,
Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls;
The remnants of defensive walls;
Historic buildings are a gauge
Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields;
Estuaries guarded by shields;
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes;
Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees,
Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries,
And crossed by practical delights -
Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham;
Football kits ad infinitum;
Kept castles - one for study;
Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way,
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Picture perfect, as I conquer my scriptural desires,
Conflicting emotions I lay to rest,
As my journey begins from the depths of my Hell,
My emotion, my words, my mind, exposed raw showing for all to see
My foreplay, a razor edges cutting them to shreds, igniting my imagination,
Rage by ecstasy, no longer my inspiration, Just an ordinary man; Except me for who I am, or don't except me at all,
Be it Pen an pad, or keys stroking in darkness, I'm not ashamed to tell U, with every letter, with every stroke, my veins do bleed inspiration,
My minds literacy desire, bringing forth one final thrust of my imagination depths;
In darkness; my mind did explode with waves of honey dew words yet to be fore told,
I be just an ordinary man, no more no less,
Picture if U will, my voice, as I set my mind free, be it in silent communication............

Darkness comes before my eyez...
adapting, I can still see the prize.
Ragin' over the demons that have developed.
Somehow, someway, they come when I am alone at night...
They always come in my dreams,
underestimating me,
plotting on the fact that I am alone.
The darknes clouds the corner of my room,
everytime, I try to stare it in the eye,
the coward won't look.
Fear won't consume me,
I am yelling and screaming...
like I am the demon!
"I work for God!!"
I yell out...and I begin to laugh so creepy!
Eyez wide, my hands against the wall,
waiting for darkness to move!
darkness let's me out...
used to bound my hands and take my breath
but
I broke out and fought back,
Imprisoned for so many years,
all thru my child hood.
Only God can have his way with me,
only God can judge
I am heartress,
my love conquers evil.
I take and I give pain,
I was born a rebel...
Goddess in your eyes...
In the dark and in the light,
I will fear no evil!!
Birthed from the womb of God,
Fathered by flesh of the devil!
Demons hunt me when I sleep,
but I stay ready to fight,
like it's whatever!
humbled; mighty; intellegent; great, leveled...rebel
