The reason that I joined Myspace is to make notice of C37WORDS and the poetry workshops I do with youth. The workshops are geared toward building self-esteem, creativity, and expression. In addition, they are a wonderful compliment to the "No Child Left Behind" program in that they encourage academic performance. At this time, I am engaged in a program called "The Empowering Youth Poetry Program" which is designed to prepare youth to become successful entrepreneurs. Existing sponsors include: The Greensboro Public Library, Black Pages USA, Body Ecology, Deep Roots Market, Greensboro Parks and Recreation, and House of Health. These sponsors are involved in ensuring the success of this program in regards to providing all the necessary materials and location for the workshops. I am grateful for the blessing Most High (God) has in store in me to reach back to the youth in our community.
