“An evening of spoken word and acoustic performances occurring every Monday night.”
From our website.
Poetrynight began over ten years ago at Stuart’s Coffee House in Bellingham, Washington. We now read at the Anker Café at 1424 Cornwall Ave. Since our inception, the reading has provided an open, supportive venue for countless poets, musicians, writer and performers to display their work, and has fostered a community of poetry and letters.
The last few years have seen a profound transformation for Poetrynight; the reading has grown, evolved and matured. We are proud to have provided a mic for poets from all over the country: from Buddy Wakefield to Mike McGee to a hundred others that you have never heard, but should have.
Poetrynight continues to change and grow, as more people add themselves, their voices and ideas. We invite you to come down and listen and – should the mood strike – to speak.
