   About Shodo
Has written since childhood. Non-academic transcendentalist, in the confessional style. Navy Vet. Discharged after recovering from death-defying accident on California Highway 5 North of San Diego. Formed the punk band "Vicious Beatniks" in 1990 on Long Island. Performs solo acoustic as "Lone Monk." Worked for the U.S. Postal Service in N.J. for 11 years before retiring. (Like his literary hero Bukowski) Took Buddhist vows and name Shodo- "correct path" in 2001. Moved to Santa Fe, NM in 2005 to be close to the Sangre de Cristo mountains.

Hey! I'm back from the tour, and i made a little video of some of the highlights of 2006....complete with an encounter i had with a Japanese toilet!! If you get a chance....you can see it on youtube....click here to watch it.
